"We have had to learn your language, now its time you learned ours.
When you look at an Australian Aboriginal painting, you're looking at a visual language developed over
countless generations, its vocabulary derived from sacred objects, rock art, ritual body adornments, and ceremonial ground designs. This art was traditionally used in ceremonial performance, conjoined with song and dance, to reenact creation stories known as Dreamings. The act of ceremonial performance was meant to keep the creative power of first events manifest in the world: to keep the rains falling, the kangaroo increasing in number, and the yam vines flowering in the shade of the Mulga trees. This is the significance of Aboriginal paintings they are, each and every one, an act of storytelling, which renews the world and reaffirms the power of traditional culture."

Australian aboriginal artists paint their interpretations of 'dreamings' which have been passed down through the generations. Their culture is strongly associated with the earth and spirituality. All symbols depicted in their art have specific meanings and interpretations.

We offer you the opportunity of changing the background colouring to replicate a wall or background upon which you may put the painting to demonstrate the vibrance of the colours in the paintings. The paintings are much better when viewed in real life, rather than by digital imaging, which dosen't really do justice to the beauty of these paintings.

We are so confident you will be satisfied with your purchase, that we are happy to offer a 14 day money back guarantee (after receipt of the painting/s) if you are not completely satisfied. Return freight costs are at the purchasers expense and the painting must be received in original condition. We have very few paintings returned but Corroboree Exports prides itself on customer satisfaction. If you're not happy neither are we.

Please make note of the Code of any painting/s you require further details about.

We hope you enjoy your time in the Galleries. Don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of service.
